Cox Network problems disallowed me to get my Sunday Brunch out Sunday, there were a few good pointspread discreprencies, most I'm using for EarlyBird picks. Perhaps Utah State started flat at Tuscaloosa, but the Vandals were flattened like a pancake by stateside Boise, and have no hope going into Logan. The Tide did roll the Aggies, looking for revenge with Miss comin' in. Longhorns need revenge if Mack Brown is gonna save face, 'Horns deface Hawgs. North Texas was hogtied by the Horns, and I think they will have their hands full, if not tied behind their backs, by this new pack of Div-I Owls.Schnellenberger may wear funny hats, but I think a lot of people may feel funny sitting down after the Owls backdoor , and frontdoor some people on their first year slate.
NFL:
The new defensive secondary sanctions in the rulebook have been prognosticated for higher scores in the pros this season, but let's wait and see how it will affect for at least a few weeks. I would think the Miami-Tenn total is 3, 3½ points too juiced (Fiedler with no offensive line lighten' em up, McNair with no threats likewise¿ , heh...). Ditto Tampa at Snyder's dogsled. KC and the Broncs have gone over the total by an average 13 points the last five meetings, that looks like another drag race in the high skies. Meanwhile, Jamaal again drags the dogpound all over the kennel.
